Summer Solstice Edition - June 18–22, 2026 · The longest days of the year
Only 13 spots · Allocated in order of deposit received
Pushing on a climb through the pines, legs burning, Mediterranean sun on your back. Playing attacks with mates you met two days ago. Cresting the top and seeing the sea.
Knowing that in a few hours you'll be back at the villa - feet in the pool, cold beer in hand, the BBQ going. That specific, earned satisfaction that only cyclists know.
Mediterraneo Retreats exists for that. Not for ego racers. Not for beginners on a sightseeing tour. A community of passionate riders who love the sport, love good company, and want the full experience - a curated selection of the most iconic routes in the region, a luxury masía, recovery facilities, and the kind of evenings you actually remember.
Girona is widely considered the world's greatest road cycling base. We ride a curated selection of its most iconic routes - coastal cliffs, legendary climbs, quiet roads through pine forest. Serious miles, zero ego.
Small group, no-drop philosophy. You ride together, eat together, suffer and laugh together. Strangers become friends by Sunday night - not a side effect, it's the whole point. Built for intermediate to advanced cyclists who love the sport.
A quintessential private Catalan mansion. Pool, jacuzzi, sauna, garden, fireplace. You don't have to think about anything except riding, recovering, and enjoying it.
Every day starts with a provided wide breakfast buffet - fuel for what's ahead - and unfolds into a different adventure. Serious mileage, a collection of spectacular postcards, and the chance to rest and recharge in the best setting, with recovery amenities, good food, and great company.
Check in from 4pm. Optional easy shakeout ride to stretch the legs after travel. Then the welcome aperitivo - sharing plates, cold drinks, introductions. The trip starts tonight.
The whole group rides together on Day 1 - no pressure, just finding your legs and each other. We head south to the Costa Brava: a stunning stretch of road hugging sea cliffs and pine forest, widely considered the finest road in all of Catalonia. The sea glittering below you. A café stop with a sea view. Back to the masía for afternoon recovery. Then the BBQ feast - meat on the fire, garden, long evening together.
We go north today - into the dramatic landscape of La Garrotxa and the hills of Mare de Déu del Mont. Ancient forests, sweeping Pyrenean views, roads that feel like they were made for cyclists. Pace groups split as needed. Afternoon free time at the masía. Evening: the whole group heads into Girona - 15 minutes away - for dinner in one of the best cycling cities on earth. Iconic bike cafés, great food, a proper night out.
The legs are always best on Day 3 - it's always this way. We head into the Montseny Massif, where the Girona pros train for the grand tours. Viaducts suspended high above the valley, the beautiful Susqueda Reservoir, roads that go on forever. Back for the best evening of the trip: dinner together at the masía, local wines flowing, long table, nobody wants to go to bed.
Optional easy morning ride for those who want it. Guided mobility and stretching session at the masía. Late breakfast together. Check out and head home with a group chat already running and a date in mind for next time.
Fitness level: Intermediate to advanced cyclists. Comfortable riding 80–120km with 1,000–1,500m of climbing. You don't need to be fast - but you do need to enjoy the day, not just endure it. No-drop policy: we ride in pace groups and nobody gets left behind. Not sure it's right for you? Just ask us.

Girona Airport (GRO) is the easy option - Ryanair connections from across Europe, 15 minutes from the masía. Barcelona El Prat (BCN) also works, about 1.5 hours by car or train.

Bring your own if you can - always better. If you need to rent, we work with a trusted local Girona shop and can arrange a quality road bike at a fair price. Flag it when you register.
Mediterraneo Retreats was created by an endurance athlete based in Barcelona. After years of riding the roads of Catalunya, the Pyrenees, the Balearics - and too many trips spent sorting logistics instead of enjoying them - the idea was simple: do it properly.
A small group of like-minded riders. A real community. The right routes. A lovely setting worth coming back to. People worth riding with.
